1. Who we are

NextStar Casting ("we", "us") is a boutique casting agency. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we act as the data controller of personal data you submit through this site.

2. What we collect

When you apply we collect: your name, email, phone number, location, optional portfolio link, a headshot photograph, an optional video reel, and a copy of an identity document. We tag all applications with an EU storage region.

3. ID documents and biometric data

Your headshot and video reel are images that may constitute biometric data under GDPR Article 9. We process them for the explicit purpose of representing you to casting directors and verifying your identity. ID documents are stored in a private, restricted bucket accessible only to authenticated administrative staff and are never displayed publicly. You may request deletion of your ID at any time without losing your application.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you provide at the point of submission via the consent checkbox.

5. Retention

Application data is retained for up to 24 months from submission unless you request earlier deletion. ID documents are retained only as long as necessary for verification.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Email privacy@nextstarcasting.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Sharing

Personal data is only shared with casting directors, producers, and platforms when you have been put forward for a specific role. We do not sell personal data.
